Youth
Gone Wild

|
1)Tell
us a little about yourself (age, where u represent, and nationality)
Everybody calls me Gatt, the Young part was added by my old school homie
China Brown from Richmond, Califonia when he helped me produce my first
EP album "Azyattic Madniss". I'm 24 years old but for some reason I still
feel young and wild, I guess some things just will never change. The nationality
in me is Laos/Laotian.
2, 3) what does (Artist name) mean? How did you come up with that name?
My mom gave that name to me when I was little, in my language "Gatt" means
-little one- and that is because I have 2 older brothers and me being
the youngest. People might assume that "Gatt" is the slang term but that
is just something people of different cultures will not understand.Like
I said above.
4)When did you start in the music business?
In the music business I started in 1996 out in Richmond, California after
high school, rather than go to college I chose the love of my life.
5)Who influenced you?
Nobody really, when I was young in the 8th grade, there was this asian
dude from Fresno they call him Juice, he got tight flows and after hearing
him that's when I started to get motivated.
6)How far do you want to get in the music industry?
It doesn't really matter how far I get, I love doing what I do whether
it's for fun or money, kind of like going fishing some people enjoy it
whether they catch a fish or not. But it would be nice to have the world
hear my thoughts.
7)How far do you think you are now?
I have come a long ways in life, lost a lot of things on the way but I
gained a lot knowledge just by being around a lot of different people
and places. This album is technically my second one since 1996.
8)Are there any collaborations in the works that we should be looking
out for?
I'm always down to do collaborations with people depending on if I'm feeling
them. For the next project I will be doing things with LAO (Little Asian
Organization) from Arkansas, YB from the Midwest, Thai from Portland,
my boy Gravesite, Tyte Eyez, and VIC from Triple 9 out here in Stockton,
and more.
9)What is your latest track/ablum that you've recorded?
Youth Gone Wild is the latest album I have recorded.
10)Tell us about it.
The album I think was rushed and that is why some of the songs on
there don't sound as good as they should but it's alright I'm not perfect.
There's not much to say about the album but just that that's who I am,
the youth gone wild.
11)How many tracks have you recorded so far?
I have recorded lots of tracks even after and before the Youth Gone Wild,
I keep them archived like a journal of my life.
12)what kind of equipments do you use on your recording if any?
I record in the studios I don't really know much about studio equipment
though just the basics, grab the mic and spit it.
13)What was your first time performing on stage?
Back in 96 I performed in Richmond, Cali.
14)do you think fame will change who you are?
Not me but I know others around me will change and assume that I'm the
one that have changed but really they are the one.
15)so whats ur feeling towards Asian music industry and their role
in spreading the Asian music community?
Man, it don't matter what you are music is music.
16)Do you listen to other Asian Artists?
what's your thoughts on other Asian artists? Honestly, I don't really
listen to a lot of music like when I'm riding in my car I like it silent.
17)what's your feeling toward the future of Asians in the mainstream
market?
It's who you know and who knows you that's what gonna get you in the door,
you don't have to be the greatest artist to go mainstream and that's a
fact you can take that to the bank.
18)Any last words to your fans?
I do this music thing so that I share my thoughts with yall and hope that
yall can truly feel what I'm saying.
